As I said yesterday, the relation of United States with Europe is like a 15 years old child who want to learn the life to his 90 years old grand-fathers.
Et oui les états-unis veulent donner des leçon mais nous on a plus d'experience !
Pour revenir sur ce que tu disais simon concernant le fait que le français sera la langue officielle des Etats-Unis d'Europe (j'aime pas ce terme), moi j'ai peur qu'au contraire on choisisse la solution de facilité de prendre l'anglais.

my school lessons in french were particularly bad, i was the only student in my class to listen to the teacher, the rest talked amongst themselves, not doing any work, not trying to learn at all. That was an impossible situation for me to learn much, the teacher spent most time telling off pupils

Le portugal est effectivement traditionnellement plus pro-français mais l'anglais y gagne du terrain.
Perso je suis partisan que nos jeunes écoliers apprennent l'anglais uniquement en deuxième langue et l'espagnol/allemand en première langue.

That's the same thing for the French. That why the French vote "No" to the referendum a the European Constitution, but our government don't listen the people and prefer to applicate a new constitution without consultation of the french people.
At my begin, it's very hard but I would like speak others languages (I love my french language ^^) and now I can speak your language and others languages.

I knew the same situation in class of History when I was at school and it never penalize me.
Par contre je suis pas d'accord quand tu dis que c'est facile d'apprendre une langue seul. Pour l'Histoire, oui c'est possible, mais pour une langue, t'as besoin que la classe suive à l'oral, réponde, pour les cours avancent,etc... si la classe rame en langue, le prof est obligé de ralentir le rythme, et donc t'apprends moins. En Histoire je pense pas.
C'était pour moi cette question? Ca veut dire qu'aujourd'hui je suis malheureusement incapable de m'exprimer en espagnol.
