Still not really getting what you mean, I think the "not disciplined"-stamp is gone, the Army today is a much more proffesional-oriented Army than it was a decade or two ago.

The norwegian special forces are of course one of the best trained in the world! but the standard norwegian army really isn't any better trained than any other European nationm the standard of the average norwegian soldier was a lot better 20-30 years ago! They served 6 months longer in the army and they had a lot more physical and mental training than today, there have even been discussions between norwegian politicans, who say that the fitness level of standard norwegian soldiers is to bad!

Dude, you're talking about the conscripts, not the full time soldiers who actually serve in the Army as a job. The ones who need the good training gets it.

Thats exactly what i'm saying! the special forces and the proffesional soldiers are well trained and the conscripts are completely average and often undisiplined! But the special forces and the proffesional soldiers are a very small part of the norwegian army, 80% are conscripts

I don't tink they are worse now than 30 years ago, those who serve in the fighting units get proper training. I guess it all depends on what unit or branch you're in. Fallskjermjegerne for example, they are conscripts too.

Nå må dere huske på at Diesen har sagt at Norge har bare nok styrker for å beskytte en liten del av Oslo, det hjelper lite med treining om man ikke har nok folk :p

In norway its normal to be well trained! thats way we cant see how well trained our special forces are... Americans dont train much and most of the american guys in afghanistan have never been in battle!

That sounds a bit strange since 5 guys I know, including one of my best friends were there for several months in 2002. Fsk/NORSOF was one of the first units on the ground in Afganistan, and several Hjk/fallskjermjegere/Mjk later on throughout the years in the battle. Obviuously you dont know much about the issue, so why comment?

i'm norwegian myself and the sad truth is is that our country is takin part in over 25 conflics around the world! We got more soldiers shipped outside norway than we got here back at home. And with the russians as our neighbours we should be prepared for them but we norwegians are careless people. Just like in WW2 we never thought the Germans would attack. What was our resistance to the germans? The freaking home depot!! And norway's military forces is dying. Soon we got no army here!

in the U.S. its normal to be well trained atleast for the paratroopers, the regular army has been split up too much, but for our fighting forces, they are definitely trained

for those who do not know( and yea i didnt bother to read all your arguing) the troops in this film are from the Conscriptprogram of HJK, the recruitperiod is fierce and a couple of houndred hopefull attend each year hoping to be among the best trained conscripts in the country. the forces in the enlisted units of HJK/FSK are mainly recruited from this and other similar units (MJK etc.)

hva faan er det du snakker om? innvadrere i hæren?vi skulle hatt hæren våres mot innvandrerne, de kommer her og voldtar og dreper,og snylter på skatten.å hva gjør det vell med 1000 flere i hæren som er innvandrere mot russland sine 100 millioner?! vell Norge har håp.det finnes fly og båter her i verden , ikke bare folk,se for deg 100 russere mot ett helikopter,derfor. å vi er medlem av NATO så vi har sterke allierte

jeg er i usa nå som utvekslingsstudent, og om du tror amerikanerne er dårlig trent tar du skammelig feil. Amerikanske gutter på high school er fysisk sterkere enn den norske gutt på samme alder, dette pga amerikansk fotball.

vil vel variere fra skole til skole. I gjennomsnitt så er over 80% av alle amerikanere overvektige, så denne statistikken din tar litt feil..

milierkul: Trur ikke du skal uttale deg om noe du ikke vet så veldig mye om. De norske spesial styrkene var i Afghanistan i 2002, og en norsk spesial soldat ble drept. Grunnen til at flere ikke blir drept er fordi at de er så utrolig godt trent.
