I believe the point is that this particular break is the one that was sampled and used by many artists, for many, many songs, and as a result has traced its way through history. It's only logical to follow the path it took. This is important stuff to the artists in these areas, and I wish never to shun any attempt at finding good, hard knowledge, no matter how trivial
