What's wrong with making a minimalistic video? They just don't want to spend millions on one. I really think it fits the song very well and more importantly the whole concept behind the way they released "in rainbows".
You want aliens and fireworks, go watch a coldplay or Lil Wayne video. Seems this folks are not the band for you mate.
