Man thats a good hit and a deadly catch! I remember I did that. But I climbed the wall without noticing it but I failed to catch the ball. It was just a inch higher than my glove and we lost that champion game*tear* lol

That was one of the nicest catches I've seen here in Hawaii for fastpitch softball.

I take that back. After further review it looks like the defensive player ran into the fence thus moving it before making contact with the ball. HOMERUN!

yes the batter in this video... and uhm... the outcome... HOMERUN! duh... if you watch the video repeatedly you can clearly see that her entire body crossed the barrier of the fence. therefore if there had been a permanent fence or whatever... she probably wouldn't have made the catch because she did come in contact with the fence before making the catch... the result of the game was KAILUA OVER CASTLE! i don't remember the score though...

dang nice catch. but its the right call cuz if the wall was solid she wouldnt have caught it cuz she had to go through the fence to get to it. if u watch the slowmo part u can see her start to go through the fence before she reaches the ball

The fielder is allowed to not only knock down the outfield fense, but to stand on it and make a catch. The fense is fair territory, whether standing or collapsed. A player isn't allowed to pickup and move the fense, but IS allowed to knock it down and stand on it.
According to the score in the upper right, there was one out and a runner on first. The out should have counted. The fielder did step out of bounds after the catch (catch and carry). Runner on 1st should be awarded 3rd base.

yeah, but the wall WASN'T solid & she caught it so there shouldn't be any question about it. that was an amazing catch and that should've been an out.
