I know! I absolutely HATE that!!!!
I was at the Symphony a few weeks ago, they where playing Beethoven's Fifth...and I kid you not everyone clapped between movements, and people gave me odd looks for NOT clapping! The irony...I'm getting scorned for proper etiquette!lol

This was posted as a respnse to a comment regarding the fact that nobody clapped after this movement was over (which is what an audience should do in a multi movement piece...not clap until the end).

I hate the way the violinists are rocking back and forth, and going through these strange motions, whatever happened to playing the violin with dignity ? Must you always make a goofy face and engage in weird, spastic movements while playing the violin ?
