1 foot is NOT 30 cm. That's the first part that's wrong. 1 foot is 30.48 cm. When you disregard .48 6 plus times...that's an extra 3 cm you're not taking into account. You're rough estimate is inaccurate. Look up any conversion chart and 1 inch is 2.54 cm. Look it up.
