I have nothing to be saved from, i am an English thirteen year old boy and live a good life. God does not exist you are living a illusion there is not a fossil in evidence of any existence of God, i was brought up a Christian and Science taught me the truth of the world we live in and where we came from. I have read the Bible and when i read of a supreme being that created everything that looks like a human its completely insane! A male human supreme being, how barbaric and sexist is that?!

Christianity is a myth:
1) The Christian god is a myth it was thought up by ancient people that had no other way to explain the world and how it and everything else came to be, it was before Science was fully acknowledged as the truth and before it was practiced a great deal. Zeus and Hades and the Underworld they all follow the same story structure how to you explain that when Zues was though of way before Christianity.

2) Jesus story is a myth it was copied from many other previous sons of gods Ra the Egyptian god. Was born on the 25th December from a virgin, he had disciples that followed him where he travelled. He performed various miracles such as walking on water and creating wine. He was crucified and resurrected in the following week. Apollos story follows along the same lines. Christianity and all other Religions are old myths that now elude people from seeing any sort of truth.

Um the expression"in Gods image"I presume?Why not?Science did not teach you truth,it cannot do so because everything is theoretical,which means we don't know but it looks like it.I encourage you to keep an open mind and continue to learn.Science especially,question everything and think for yourself then come back 20 years from now and if I am still alive tell me then if your take on it has changed.Science to date points more tward a creator than away.

Science does not point toward or away from God because God is a construct that is not falsifiable. Science provides more honesty and factual evidence then religion ever could hope to. Religion does not provide truth, only childish certainties that state we are the center of everything. I agree question everything, especialy when someone tells you to believe something because others do, because it will 'save' you, or that you need faith to believe in it.

Theory in science is the highest level of factual explanation. If everything is just theoretical in science, then is the computer you are using right now theoretical? Because it is a a product of science. So is medicine, airplanes, space shuttles... and, most importantly, evolution.
The same process which produces the medicine you and your loved ones take when sick, tells us evolution is true.

How pathetic that people think Dawkins got owned by a college kid by supposedly dodging her question. He probably has heard that question asked a thousand times. It's not really dumb question though it sounds like one. I guess he could have gone into great detail about all of the different religious beliefs and their views on the afterlife and then asked how the hell would he be able to choose the right one from such a diverse group of beliefs, then exposing religion for what it is, confusion.

I certainly would believe if there were multiple independent sources which all agreed on the actions and sayings of Jesus. But there aren't any. This is the point. My mind could be changed for a million reasons.
