Personally, I think that 0:47 is the saddest part. The cherry blossom was either gone, or the snow made it very hard to find. Remembering Hatori's line, the spring of his life (Kana) was gone and he was surrounded with snow that never melts. :[

The reason for that is there are different type of shoujo for different types of girls. Not to mention some are even okay for guys to watch (Not 100% sure about this one though).
But if you're looking for another anime made by the same author, look for "Kodomo no Omocha" also known shortened as "Kodocha".
