This is my favourite song. All are sooo great in this song, lata mangeshkar kishore kumar, Rd Burman, gulzar and ofcourse sanjeev kumar and suchitra sen.. For me, this is the most pleasant and touchy and meaningful song ever... Heard it when i was small and didnt understand much, though found it nice to hear.. Now that i understand the meaning, i am just amazed at this wonderful piece of art.

Good point, punjabitype, I agree. The songs from that era were crafted, not manufactured like they do these days. That era is lost forever because the giants of Indian music (RD,SD,Nitin Madan) are no more. Also, they would not have survived today because tastes of Indian audiences have gone to s%$t ....
