Both are incredibly nice cars. 300 HP isn't bad, so neither are shit. I would be happy with either one.
Ill take the Evo though, im part of the younger generation, I love rally inspirited cars, plus the new awesome sport/shark look. Who knows, maybe when I grow up Ill lean towards the BMW.

xXxSnifflesxXx, the EVO is 5hp shy of a BMW and there is not that much of a price difference!

im really disappointed in the evo x. hearing all the hype about it i couldn't wait for the release. But the new 2009 cobalt ss out performs it on a track and it's $10k cheaper

I dont know about BMW times but Evo Xs are running 11s with just bolt-on and a tune. Are there any 135 running 11s with just a bol-ons and a tune? New M3 doesnt even come close to running in the 11s. Also a Evo X also holds 2 track records in the street class with just bolt-ons and a tune. How about the 135? You do not buy an Evo for luxury. You buy it to drive at a road coarse. I love BMWs, but the 135 has to be one of the ugliest bemmers ever.

it 5 HP andabout 40tq shy of the BMW, that's a dramatic power difference. It has a full 1L of displacement advantage, so it has power all over the power range. It's also lighter than the EVO X. And there is a big price difference. If you get a fully decked out 135i it costs in the ball park of 47k. Base price is the same, but BMW charges out the ass for every single option.

the evo shouts a lot more about its performance, but the fact is that the bmw stomps it. like both cars, but i prefer the 135i.
