Good example of a big conspiracy theory with a little truth sprinkled in it for flavouring. Yes the media is powerful and does in fact create our reality, and yes people are generally passive and accepting, but the media is also a beast with a life of its own. Many different groups are doing their damndest to manipulate it, and some are succeeding to alarming degrees, but no one really *controls* it.
Throughout history, the few have always ruled the many. Only the *means* have changed.

xanxei is pretty much dead on. There is no way to keep this event secret. Too many people would be involved to keep it secret. This is silly ...whether there may or may not ever be a One World Govt. Of all people, Bush wouldn't go for that, and he'd know if it was happening.He, and I are for free trade and the wealth for all that it creates, but absolutely not in any World Govt.
