Don't you think it's a good thing to try to open peoples eyes to the truth going on in the world. I'm not sure if you've looked at this guys photographs, but he obviously risks his life to show people what is really going on in the world. I'm not sure about the other TED talks, but to say that James Nachtway is self righteous is wrong. His acceptance of the TED award is just another way for him to get the truth out.

I must disagree, he has dedicated his life to ending the cycle of violence that is war. He may have a different approach, but no man I know personally has been so dedicated to protecting wives and their children

I don't consider myself a saint ether.My point is exactly that.The USA is always presenting themselfs as a "Good boys leading a rightful war in a name of justice,bringing the democracy to poor people".The truth is that those poor people's countries are destroyed,and they end up being economicly dependent on the US,witch is a new form of slavery.There hasn't been a good war since WWII(if even it was).I am a Serb,and we had a very rough last 10-15 years.And i accept that our army has commit...

...terrible crimes.So has the Croats and Muslims.I was just a kid,and my childhood was ruined because of things that are not my fault,but i accept that as a punishment that we partly deserved.Many of our people are convicted in front of the international court.But way are then US soldiers protected from that court.They cannot commit crime???Is USA president god when he can decide what is right and wrong.I am not pointing finger,i am just upset because of this media manipulation.

And i know very well what media manipulation is.I've been hearing it from my goverment for a very long time.And this video is aslo manipulation,maybe with good intention,but still showing only US view.They only have good reasons and all their enemy's have evil one.There is no black and white just gray.We accepted our guilt,when will America accept their?

Incredible. Whatever you think about foreign policy, this man's work goes much farther than that: He depicts the true nature of humanity. War and crime occurs all the time and is ugly no matter how you paint it. Some wars may have just causes, others do not. But in both cases, human nature is at root. A just war fights against evil. An unjust war itself is evil. How often we fool ourselves to think that we are basically and naturally good.
