base ball is was easyer cause 1 the ball doesnt move as much as a softball i play travel ball for a 16 and under team and the pitch around 50 and have hell movement u play A ball pitcher its NOTHING compared to high school ball and i played on varcity last yr and im omly 14

Defies the laws of physics. It is impossible. Here's the math:
Force = 1/2 MV ^2
Weight of Baseball = 145 g
Weight of Softball = 170 g
F BB = 1/2 * 145 * 95 * 95 = 654312.5
F SB = 1/2 * 170 * 70 * 70 = 416500
I know I am mixing grams with MPH. Still baseball puts off more force. The baseball probably cracked it and the softball finished it off.
Key is force is proportional to velocity squared.

its not a gender issue, its the fact that the way a baseball and a softball are thrown are very different, and its pretty dumb to think that a player who is used to one pitch can hit a different one without practice. its like byun hung kim in the new york vs arizona world series, he was unhittable for a while because of his unique delivery, but once the yankees got used to his release point, they hit him all over the place

Let me start off by saying yes it is completely different hitting a softball when you are used to hitting a baseball. The location, the release, very different. That part of the test was not fair in my opinion, poor bryan,but with a softball there is less reaction time, and it is easier to drop your hand as apposed to lifting them...but come on...Jennie broke the damn striking plate!!!! So scientifically...it is harder to hit a softball...It is not a gender thing...it's a proven scientific fact.
